I’ve worn many hats throughout my career, from guidance counselor to case manager to therapist. At one point I owned my own business specializing in trompe l’oeil murals and decorative paintings in homes and businesses.

Throughout my career – both as a counselor and as a muralist – I’ve come to realize that it’s not about my goals or my expectations. It’s about my clients and what they hope to achieve, whether in their home or in counseling.

I began my career as a psychiatric technician working with kids and later in a group home for adults. I fell in love with the work and the concept of hope and change.

Depression, trauma, substance abuse, and unhealthy relationships are often debilitating. Sometimes, the coping that serves you in the short-term can manifest into lifestyles that do not serve you in the long-term. After 25 years in the mental health field, I believe in our capacity to navigate and learn from our difficulties. You are the expert on yourself.

As a client, you can expect a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere for you to heal, develop insight, and move forward. I am open minded and relational in my approach. I am credentialed with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing PEER Assistance Program and Oklahoma Pharmacists Helping Pharmacists. In my spare time, I enjoy swimming, gardening, and live theatre.
