Hi, I’m Suz Rabinovitz
LPC
I want to help you create a life you love. In high school I thought I was going to be a journalist. At first, this may seem very different from being a therapist, but they share a lot in common: listening to understand what’s really going on, asking questions to explore what’s under the surface and bringing to light that which may not have been apparent. As your therapist, I want to help you seek, inquire and discover your authentic life.
As a therapist, I guess it’s no surprise that I love people. Before becoming a therapist, I worked a lot of different industries – retail, restaurants, even insurance. I lived with in Belgium and taught English as a second language. The thing they had in common was helping people find what they wanted (well, OK, maybe with insurance, not so much).
As a therapist, I have had the opportunity to walk with lots of different types of people through all kinds of challenges – women escaping trauma and violence, those struggling with addiction, and all kinds of people trying to figure out who they are and how to live their best life. I have a lot of experience working with clients who are LGBTQIA+. In my counseling practice I use CBT, Mindfulness Meditation, Breathwork and Motivational Interviewing with my clients.
I am a native Tulsan. I am a twin. I have two cats, Puck and Reno whom I adore. I love live events. With enough time and money, I would travel the country going concerts of all genres and sporting events. I am a HUGE sports fan, especially basketball (Go Thunder!). I am also a bit of a history buff and watch a lot of documentaries.
